Kawhi’s Masterclass Fuels Clippers’ Playoff-Style Win Over Knicks at Intuit Dome

The LA Clippers edged out the New York Knicks in a thrilling, playoff-intensity showdown at the Intuit Dome, securing a 126-118 victory on March 9, 2026.

Kawhi Leonard delivered a masterful all-around performance, leading the Clippers with 29 points7 rebounds8 assists, and 2 steals. His leadership set the tone in what felt like a postseason battle, as the Clippers controlled key stretches and fended off a late Knicks push.

Off the bench, Bennedict Mathurin erupted for 28 points, providing a massive spark with his scoring and energy. Darius Garland contributed 23 points in a solid effort, but it wasn’t enough to overcome the Clippers’ balanced attack and home-court advantage.

The game had the electricity of a playoff matchup, with intense defense, clutch plays, and a raucous Intuit Dome crowd pushing the Clippers throughout. Los Angeles built an early lead and maintained composure down the stretch, outscoring New York 38-37 in the fourth quarter to seal the win.

With this victory, the Clippers improved to 32-32, climbing to the 8th seed in the Western Conference standings. The win marks a return to .500 ball and keeps their playoff hopes very much alive as the season heats up.
